The History of Dalmuir Park Housing Association

1997
A 'Steering Group' was formed when 50% of
tenement and properties in Dalmuir became 'BTS' (below tolerable standard... lacking basic facilities).
At a public meeting the District Council declared Dalmuir an action area for demolition or improvement.

1978
The local residents form a Management Committee.

1980
Improvement scheme on site at Pattison Street.

1989
Tenement rehabilitation program completed with
515 houses improved. First New Build scheme
completed: 33 units at Pattison Street and Burns
Street. People with 'special housing needs' specifically targeted.

1992

DPHA completes 88 new build units within 3
schemes, 34 of which are outside the Dalmuir
Action Area for the first time. Housing Stock
now totals 608 including 3 shared ownership flats.

1995

Partnership formed with Scottish Refugee
Council adding to those formed with other Key H.A
The mentally handicapped, Glasgow Association
for Mental Health, mentally ill,; and Clydebank District Council homeless persons.


1995

The Association acquire 103 ex-Scottish Homes houses in Dalmuir. This adds sheltered housing to our range of provision. 14 shared ownership flats also provided in Old Kilpatrick.

DPHA Housing

1996

Adelaide Court, new build completed, 39 units. attison Street (Phase i) re-improved. 833 units managed.


1999

Pattison Street re-improvement completed. Average annual capital expenditure figure £1.5m. £27.5m invested in Dalmuir since DPHA formed
