Coronavirus - Financial Support and Advice

Given that the situation with Coronavirus is changing rapidly, we know that our tenants and customers will be concerned about what this means to them and how we are managing and planning for the impact of this.

As stated in our earlier update, we have our Contingency Plans in place and we are already forward planning should the situation escalate.  We are responding to Government Guidance issued to all Landlords requesting us to ensure that we have clear processes in place to support any of our tenants experiencing financial hardship. We are therefore continuing to focus all our efforts on providing support and financial advice to our tenants during this difficult time to ensure that no one loses their home as a result of Coronavirus.

Those effected by the Coronavirus who are concerned about paying their rent may be able to claim Universal Credit from the Department of Work and Pensions which includes support for housing costs, if eligible. The UK Government has introduced some temporary changes to make the process for applying for benefits easier. We would ask that all tenants apply for Statutory Sick Pay and Universal Credit where they are eligible.

Please speak to us as soon as possible if you are in financial difficulty and unable to pay your rent.  Our staff will be contactable by phone during office hours, or you can email them at any time. Contact details are here
