Drainage Works - Dalmuir Pumping Station

Network Rail have advised that they will be carrying out maintenance and repairs of the existing drainage system at Dalmuir Pumping Station. The works are scheduled to take place from:

23:00 hours Saturday 15 October 2022 until 08:00 hours Sunday 16 October 2022

23:00 hours Saturday 22 October 2022 until 08:00 hours Sunday 23 October 2022

23:00 hours Saturday 29 October 2022 until 08:00 hours Sunday 30 October 2022

This work is required to protect the track from the effects of extreme weather. Specialist railroad vehicles will generate some noise and requires overnight track access when passenger and freight services are not running. The Network Rail team will always be mindful of the impact their work may have on you and do what they can to minimise this.

Working on the railway at night offers the safest environment for Network Rail teams and causes the least disruption to our passengers and freight trains.
