Electrical Safety
Electrical problems are one of the most common causes of home fires. Every landlord in Scotland must carry out an electrical inspection of all the installations, fixtures and any appliances the landlord has provided in a property. These are carried every 5 years for existing tenants and at the start of any new tenancy. These inspections are carried out by a qualified electrician.
If you would like a copy of your most recent Electrical Safety Inspection Certificate please contact us at the office on 0141 952 2447 or email maintenance@dpha.org.uk
Your home is also fitted with interlinked fire detection devices. There will be at least 1 smoke alarm in the living room, 1 in the hall and a heat alarm in the kitchen.
You are responsible for your own electrical items in your home for example, cookers, washing machines, TV and other small appliances.
For more information please see our Electrical Safety Policy – See here
